Things I find. Or: Will I find her?

The iPod the girl forgot on the train the other day got returned to her, and she was extremely happy with it. Very good!! But now there's another case:

Today, on the 00:10 train from Amsterdam to Rotterdam, I found a leather bag. It clearly belongs to a lady, because there is ladies clothing, including underwear, and loads of make-up stuff in it. Also the papers in there have scribbles in a feminine handwriting. Among the rest of the stuff are about 15 small paintings (probably not by hereself), a load of business notes in French and Spanish, and a WD Passport drive of 300GB. So I am probably looking for a Spanish or French lady. I hope the passport drive can give me some clues....

To be continued!

WoLFjuh:

How about bringing it to the lost/found department of the NS (Dutch Railway) instead of nosing trough other people's belongings? This will be the first place anyone would ask if they lost something.

Or... finding a -girl- is more important than returning a bag? Come to your senses, please.

Yes, lost-and-found is an option, but experience teaches that people are much happier when you personally return an item. Also because most people do not trust the lost-and-found department. It's so easy for someone there to keep something for their own.
In both cases the persons had actually _not_ checked with lost-and-found because of their mistrust in the system.

Also, if you're naive enough to trust the system, or if you're just plain jealous, you could just say so. There's no way, not even remote, that you can make me feel guilty for being a social and sociable person who rejoices in making people happy, and succeeds at it.

Peace out.
