Work: The Bad, the Good and the Uncertain

We're almost at the end of the year again. Which means that my current work contract is coming to and end. At the moment I'm working on the SEPA project for internet banking of one of the Dutch mayor banks. But because of the turmoil the bank is in, the budgets are tight, and I will have to move on. Too bad, it was a fun project with superb colleagues.

So, I was getting those stressed feelings again because of not having a job in January anymore and having to do the whole job hunting again. I've had 5 contracts this year, and that's too much. I want to do some longer term project that I can actually finish. And then through some quick networking all of a sudden I've got a proposal for a new contract again! Same bank, completely different department, but also with SEPA stuff. It looks like a great project actually. I've met a number of the people there already and I'm certain it'll be heaps of fun. Also, financially the arrangement will be a bit better for me. So... as I've said before... what credit crunch?

However, nothing's certain till the papers are signed. Uncertainty unschmertanty. Ohwell. Hopefully we get it sorted out before I go on holiday, at the end of the week! \o/
