So I was walking the streets of London today, through the London rain. It had snowed earlier during the day, but that had all disappeared again. I had witnessed a baptism of an infant at the Dutch Church. Now, I'm against that actually, but it was nice none the less to see the place overcrowded, and a bit of fun when Rein spilled all the baptism water accidentally all the way over the church floor :-P
On my way to St. Paul's Cathedral afterwards I spotted a shop window from Alliance & Leicester that didn't look right:

Hmm... doesn't look like a stable bank to me, if their big screens show "The application log is full" warnings that make the whole system crash. But when I did a few steps forward I noticed why this was:

Ahhh! This is the cheap side of the building!! Guess I'll make my way to the expensive side when I need any of their help.
Near St. Paul's Cathedral there is a small key-cutter and shoe-maker. On the window there's this sign:
New safe installed. No money or valuables kept at the premises at any time!
Makes me really wonder what good that safe is then. And all customers must pay with chip&pin?
(note: if you didn't get it: Cheapside is the name of the street ;-) )
