Run! stop... run! STOP!

Working in financial services is madness.
"Hollen en stilstaan" as they say in Dutch. "Running and standing still." Hmm... doesn't sound right in English :) But it's the way it goes. One moment everything needs to be ready as soon as possible, no matter how much it costs. And the next moment everything is put on hold for reviews and renegotiations and what not.

So this week is the 4th time my project is being discussed and targeted for major cutbacks. This time well high up in the organisation. Chances are pretty big that atleast 50% of the project will go. Doesn't really make me feel more secure about life at the moment. Bugger bugger bugger.

Ohwell. Atleast for today I'll continue like nothing's changing, because I can't use the stress, and I'm actually making quite the progress rightnow!

Rick Deckardt:

The Dutch explanation is good enough.
