I'm getting complaints from the office in The Netherlands: they're all awaiting "India, day 18"!
Oops... better not keep them waiting then.
But day 18 was actually not a very interesting day. Just your boring Tuesday at the office. The work that needs to be done here is almost finished, and the guys here are looking through documentation and notes they took to see if there's anything they don't completely get yet. I'm hanging around for questions and second-line support.
The driver must be a bit bored with me now as well. Every day is just "pick me up at 8:30 in the morning. Do the 3 minute drive to work. Pick me up at 18:00 again, and do the 3 minute drive back." End of story. But I don't care. Maybe this evening I'll even get to reading a book, which would be really good.
I've discovered that eating in your hotel room is very pleasant. There is nobody hovering around you constantly. You can eat without being disturbed and in the order you prefer (I have this strange tendency of eating my desert first, and mixing my starter and main :) )
And you can just do other things while eating! Like... some work for example. Check my 'high-tech-desk' :-P
(No, the important screen had been locked, and the resolution is too small as well, so no confidential information to be seen for any of you! :-P )
Oh... the really cool thing here is that everywhere you go the power sockets are multi-national. So my Dutch plugs just fit anywhere. Well... as long as you do the same trick as I use to do in the UK: stick something in the grounding hole to switch the child protecting unit out of the way, and then plug the device in. Ohhhh sticking metal keys into powersockets with my bare hands... I like to live dangerously ;-)
The food menu is a bit more extended than when I first came to the hotel. Probably because the hotel is a little bit more busy now as well. Which is good! Look at the following picture of my main course:
What do you see?
Well?
...
exactly!
NO FRENCH FRIES!
Because I ate them all immediately!!!!
Yahooooo!!!!!!
:-D
Oh... I said "eating dinner without being disturbed", but only if you switch the 'do not disturb' sign at the door on, and also unplug both the telephones in the room. Because otherwise they come asking at the door if everything is fine, and also call you in your room. Disconnecting the phones is a must if you want to go and have some early sleep here!
(And why are there 2 phones in the room anyway? I mean... with only 2.5 meters distance between them? What's the use? And 3 meter further there's even another one... in the bathroom!)
