In the morning of the second Friday here in Bangalore I woke up feeling quite a bit better than the day before. I had a good shower (the fourth within 24 hours!) and went to have some breakfast.
So, optimistically I went to the office. There I realized I had been a little bit too optimistic. Especially with the breakfast. The day before I hadn't really eaten anything (well, not much) because I felt so bad, so my stomach was empty. And now I had taken a big English style breakfast with a cup of coffee as well. So my stomach went YIKES!!! Nothing came out the wrong way or the wrong style or so, but it felt very upset.
I made sure to drink a lot of water.
At lunch hour we went to have some lunch at a new restaurant that had opened half a mile down the road. I only wanted to have some soup, rice, and popadoms. But you could only get the latter when buying a whole meal. Dammit... But then I realised: "Wait.. I'm in India! A whole meal only costs 40 rupees. Meaning only 65 euro cents! BRING IT ON!!!"
So I paid the lunch for all 4 of us and it cost me only 3.50 euro. But only because the soup cost the same as a full meal, so basically my lunch was the price of 2 lunches. :-P Go India :-)
The food was good, but I realized yet again that my stomach wasn't really ready for too much yet. Even drinking water made it go *whooop* and *huuuurt* and *owwwww*.
Back at the hotel I opened the bottle of wine I had received from hotel management because the power keeps on failing, the internet keeps going down, and the hot water is also very often gone again. (Did I already emphasize that this hotel is brand new and only first partially opened this month? Oh... and that it's in India. A 3rd world country.)
So here I am, sitting at my laptop, chatting a bit, enjoying some wine and fruit and tea, and basically doing nothing but listening to music. Hotel management also offered a free dinner, but I skipped on those free 4 euros today (yes, the hotel is expensive) and just stayed in my room. I do realize how much I love talking with specific someones in the home country at the moment, which emphasizes to me how I am a European and not a far east Asian. My place is there where the rain and the cold and the wind go. Only 1 more week and I can go home :-))Time for one more shower!!! (Did I already tell I've got a bathroom fetish?)
