Ohhhhhhhhhh I want to see such a lovely movie last night!!! We were supposed to go to 'American Gangster' which sounds pretty horrible to me. But it was sold out and then it turned out that 'Enchanted' still had some seats left, so that's where we went. And it was sooooooo nice!!!

The movie starts as your very typical Disney classic cartoon. A fair maiden in a forest in a little home surrounded by singing and talking animals. Prince charming on his white steed. The evil stepmom. A beautiful fairytale palace. Prince charming meets the fair maiden, and they decide to get married tomorrow!!
Ohhhh if life could only be so beautiful.
And then because of the evil stepmom they all end up in... Manhattan. The movie changes from cartoon to real people and a real world. The fair maiden is lost in the big city and then finally after a day of wandering around in her beautiful dress she gets help from a man and his little daughter.

Meanwhile the prince charming, the evil stepmom's helper, and a chipmunk search for her. The chipmunk is SO adorable! So well animated. The whole audience went like "Ohhhhhhh" and "Ahhhhhhhhwwwwww".
The fair maiden doesn't know anything but a fairytale life, so doesn't know anything about "dates", "divorces", "anger", and things like that. All she knows is "true loves kiss", "happily ever after" and "for ever and ever".
It's all woven into your ultimate feel good movie. Go see it, but bring a partner. You definitely want to hug someone to bits afterwards!
So, I, not having that and it being the next day now, still have that "need to hug" feeling all through me. *happy* *happy* *joy* *joy* *goody* *goody* :D :D :D
I must say this is exactly what I needed. The past week has been.... rather strange. Including some very very very very very good bits. But also a few things that unsettled me quite a bit. I have been in a few very painful situations before in my life, and I promised myself that I would not let that happen to me again. Life can be so damn full of hurt. But I failed myself and let me be in a situation that caused my bloody heartbeat to be outrageously fast for over 72 hours once I was on my own again.
It took me a lot of "calm down, Steffen, calm down" commands to get myself together again and fully realise all the beautiful bits that had happened as well.
The movie Enchanted was the final bit. And it said to me "Life IS beautiful, and you just met someone most wonderful, so you better enjoy it and make it worth it." And that's what I intend to.

*purrrrr*
Now I go hug the coffee machine. Big nice warm rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr .....
